Your data and choices

Dog profiles, registered names, breeds, sex, birth dates, photos, events, placements and competition results may be public when recorded. This supports the legitimate interest in maintaining an accurate and useful historical result archive under GDPR Article 6(1)(f).

We use username, email address, a securely hashed password, session information, password reset requests, favorites, privacy choices, dog requests, change requests and messages to provide the account and the features you ask for. Password reset tokens are stored only as hashes. The legal basis is performance of the user service under GDPR Article 6(1)(b).

An owner name is shown publicly only after an explicit choice in My Scorebook. The legal basis is consent under GDPR Article 6(1)(a). Withdrawing consent hides the name again without affecting the dog’s competition results.

Session data, server logs and administrative change history may be used to protect accounts, prevent misuse, correct errors and preserve database integrity. The legal basis is legitimate interests under GDPR Article 6(1)(f).

Account information comes directly from the user. Sport records may come from published competition sources, result providers, organizers or approved manual entries. User reports and administrator reviews may correct or complete the archive.

A username, email address and password are required to create and use an account. Without them, Canine Scorebook cannot provide login or account recovery. Showing an owner name publicly is always optional.

Public result data can be viewed by anyone. Private data is available only to the user where relevant and the administrator. Oderland provides web hosting and email delivery. The primary result database is privately operated by the data controller and is not outsourced to a third-party database provider. Personal data is not sold.

Oderland stores its hosting and email data in Sweden. The current service setup does not routinely transfer private account data outside the European Economic Area. If this changes, Canine Scorebook will use a valid GDPR safeguard and update this information.

The site uses the essential canine_scorebook session cookie for login, security and form protection. It expires when the browser session ends. The web server may retain standard technical access logs and aggregated visitor statistics for operation and security. Canine Scorebook does not use optional tracking cookies or third-party advertising scripts. Direct sponsor images are served from this website. The sponsor system records aggregate advertisement views, once per visitor session, placement and day, together with sponsor-link clicks. It does not build advertising profiles. Following a sponsor link takes you to that sponsor’s website.

Canine Rating 1.0 and sport statistics are calculations based on competition data. They do not make decisions about people and have no legal or similarly significant effect on a user.
